On Friday 2nd December our Sales Consultant Edwin Starnes attended the 6th projectfive #WinterPimms event that was held on Barossa Common Nature Reserve in Camberley, in aid of the Surrey Wildlife Trust. It was a really well attended event, over 154 people from business all over Surrey showed their support.
The land at Barossa is covered in non-indigenous Scots Pine, which is really harmful to the heathland habitat below it. The lowland heath is an extremely rare habitat, that is home to a variety of protected species, that simply cannot survive anywhere else. So the work everyone did on the day was vital. Delegates managed to clear under 5 acres of Scots Pine, equivalent to 2 rugby pitches.
Well done to everyone who took part and we can’t wait until next years event.
