History in Film – Press Delivery
Since Optichrome was founded in 1963, we have always invested in the lastest technology to enable us to print the highest quality product in the most efficient time scales. This is why the delivery of any new press is always a big event.
When we discovered these old film reels hidden away in a cupboard, we were delighted to see that in (Circa) 1982 they were just as excited about a new press delivery then, as we are today. Just as we did when our state of the art Heidleberg XL75 was delivered in 2015, the team in 1982 captured the delivery of our Solna 264 ,which in its day was also state of the art and we were the first printer in the UK to purchase this revolutionary litho press.
For this, the latest video in our ‘History in Film’ series, we show the delivery of the Solna 264 followed 35 years later by the delivery of our Heidleberg XL75.
