External audit sees Optichrome gain ISO27001:2013 compliance
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the latest ISO 27001:2013 accreditation, for information security management systems (ISMS). Having developed our ISMS and as a result of a successful independent external audit, we received our certificate of registration from the United Registrar of Systems.
There are many benefits to be had through certification compliance. One of the most obvious benefits is that this shows an organisation takes their information security management seriously. Having an independent assessment adds extra weight to this.
Our Technical and Quality Assurance Director, Matthew Burford said “By gaining this accreditation we further demonstrate our commitment to Information Security Management to our clients. We have appropriately prioritised and managed security risks within our business. Also, by developing our policies, procedures, working instructions and other relevant documentation we have further defined how we manage information security for the Optichrome business. This provides a framework to ensure fulfilment of our commercial, contractual and legal responsibilities. The provision of an ISMS preserves the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. By applying a risk management methodology we give confidence to clients and interested parties that risks are adequately managed and information assets are secure while in our care.”
