OPTICHROME BLOG Hot off the press

Apprenticeships then and now #ThrowbackThursday

We have had apprentices at Optichrome ever since Ken Stephens founded the company in 1963.  In just a few weeks our latest apprentice will join us and a long line of apprentices before him to begin what we hope will be an exciting career in the print industry.

We recently found this 1995 leaflet produced for the British Printing Industries Federation from our archives. It was used in their marketing drive to attract applicants into their ‘Printing Skills Training Scheme’ and it features two continuing Optichrome staff members back in their early printing days – Greg Knight is now an Account Manager and Glyn Dorkins is a Press Minder.
